TROLLKILLER Installation Help for Firefox

Download the provided XPI file from the download link above. There are no prerequisite files needed for Firefox. To install, drag the XPI file into the Firefox browser window from the download location on your computer.

After installation open Internet Explorer and browse to Goggle Groups (http://groups.google.com).

Once the control window is up you will see the tabs for the different functions. The "Page" view shows all the users who have comments on the thread you're viewing. You can select one or more names here and click the "Block Selected User" to add them to the blocked list. You can also manually enter a user name if for some reason it does not appear in the list. "Users" shows currently blocked users and allows you to unblock them if so desired. "Settings" contains a few general features like disabling and enabling all blocking and place holder style.

When upgrading from version 1.0 in Firefox:
Installing the version 2.0 over version 1.0 will remove the existing blocked users list. To preserve it, before installation users should move the existing blocked users file from:
[profiledir]/extensions/TROLLKILLER@source9.com/blockList.dat
to:
[profiledir]/trollkiller.dat

In Windows XP, the profile dir is found at:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[profiledir]

In Windows Vista, it is at:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[profiledir]
